3rd PIMS: ASX – Mitsubishi’s new Crossover is here!

Mitsubishi ASX

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (MMPC) has finally unveiled the much awaited compact crossover vehicle in the market at the 3rd Philippine International Motor Show. Known as the RVR in other countries, the new Mitsubishi model will be called here in the Philippines as the ASX, which stands for “Active Sports Crossover”.

The new Mitsubishi ASX will hit your nearest Mitsubishi dealers late August and is available in three variants, namely: GLS SE CVT 6-speed Sportronic (4WD), GLS CVT 6-speed Sportronic (2WD), and the GLX MT 5-speed Manual (2WD).

The ASX is packed with features such as: a multi-information display meter and a 6.2-inch touch screen LCD monitor with a built-in DVD/CD/MP3/WMA player, that also provides a GPS Navigation system for the GLS and GLS SE models.

Under the hood is Mitsubishi’s 4B11 2.0-liter 16-valve DOHC MIVEC engine that gives you ample power in a compact body. The multi-select 4WD system available for the GLS SE model enables the driver to be better-equipped to maneuver in more difficult road conditions.

According to Mitsubishi product planning manager Mr. Leo Samonte, the Mitsubishi ASX will “give the Hyundai Tucson, Kia Soul, Kia Sportage, Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, Mazda CX-7, Chevrolet Captiva, Nissan X-Trail, Nissan Grand Livina, Suzuki SX-4 Crossover and the Suzuki Grand Vitara a noteworthy competition”.

Price:

GLS SE CVT 6-speed Sportronic (4WD) = PHP 1.498 million

GLS CVT 6-speed Sportronic (2WD) = PHP 1.225 million

GLX MT 5-speed M/T (2WD) = PHP 1.145 million

Nicole Scherzinger > Banging Body + Banging Bentley

Banging Body + Banging Bentley" Before coming across this I've never heard of Nicole Scherzinger but I've seen the light! Check out Nicole throwing up the "Asian" peace while climbing in her Bentley.

Rob Dyrdek’s Porsche Panamera Turbo – aka Ghost

Rob Dyrdek is a visionary and it doesn't stop at an over the top office or a sick pad. Check out his newest whip which he has named GHOST! This puts his Storm-trooper Tahoe and Bentley to shame! Lets just hope he doesn't let his cousin Drama drive it, or Tony Turbo.

What is that BMW?

Who cares about smoking hot Cameron Diaz, what is that BMW in the background. I see it has Sparco seats in it and I get that it's probably on a movie set or training facility but does anyone know what it is?

Manila International Auto Show 2010

Manila International Auto Show will start on April 22, 2010 until April 25, 2010 at the World Trade Center. Dubbed as the biggest motoring event here in the Philippines. MIAS, which is on its 6th year, aims to encourage the local automotive industry in the country. This upcoming event is yet another must-see for car enthusiasts where they can look at the latest card models and mind-blowing concepts provided by the country's top auto makers. And I tell you, it's getting bigger, better, and more grandiose every year which explains why the event gets 78,000 visitors annually.

Be one with the automotive industry as it showcases more than 22 brands from 14 top car manufacturers in more than 20,100sqm of exhibition space.

This annual event is something you should not miss. I'm not too much of a car afficionado but I do enjoy attending events like these.
